What are the cancellation rules?
You can cancel your insurance contract at any time. Just note the following special situations:
- Cooling-off period (within 14 days): you have the right to cancel your policy within 14 days of receiving your policy documents without any costs or penalties. This is known as the cooling-off period.
- After selling your vehicle: you can cancel your policy after selling your Mini. You must provide proof of sale documentation when requesting cancellation.
You may also cancel your policy in other circumstances such as if your vehicle is declared a total loss or if you no longer own the vehicle.
My policy has been cancelled by mistake, can you reactivate it?
Once your insurance policy is cancelled, it cannot be reactivated. You would need to apply for a new policy if you require coverage again.
